Lake City, Iowa Speed Traps

City officer has been seen several times using radar on Hwy 175 just West of town in the S curves. This officer is usually pretty busy during night time hours. He will usually face to the west but have seen him face East a time or two without any lights in the darkness! He will catch you!

Officer has been seen between 4am and 6am sitting in plain sight. Looks like the car is parked but the officer IS inside using radar. Have seen him on several occasions making stops this time of morning.

Young policeman will park just off of the road and radar cars coming from the south going into town. Officer likes to write tickets here. Good Luck and dont let him get you!!!

Lake City Officer likes to sit on IA 175 late at night/early morning in the cover of darkness with his headlights off, you won’t see him until it’s too late. Usually facing West and stays busy.

Ive seen 2-3 local Lake City Policemen park their police vehicles off the road behind cover so that you can’t see them while 1 officer stands behind a pole and points his radar gun at vehicles in both directions the other 2 are sitting waiting to pull their victims over. REMEMBER 25MPH!!!
