City of Warren unethical enforcement tactic
This statement is not regarding a speed trap, but rather one of the tactics the city of Warren police use to fool drivers. There is an officer who drives a black unmarked cruiser and he wears a dark colored baseball cap and he sits low in this seat and leans on the door like a gangster. When you see him you think it cannot be a cop driving the car in this manner. Surprise, he is a cop. Look out
Bunert Road between I-696 and 12 Mile Road
Speed limit on this stretch is unreasonably low at 25mph. I can understand this limit for only 2 blocks of this stretch where the high school is located, but north of Martin there are no homes and only a couple of driveways on the east side of Burnert. Total speed trap
Grosbeck and 11 mile rd
Making a right hand turn from Grosbeck onto the I 696 service drive heading West. You go under a viaduct and just before entering a double lane ramp to I696 there’s a cop with radar. There is a mad scramble moving over to get on the ramp so people speed to merge properly. He gives you a ticket and says he’s giving you a break by charging “impeding traffic” instead of speeding.
The “break” means you only have to pay $175.
Basically his job is generating income for the city of Warren, Mi
