Hamilton, Ontario Speed Traps

Posted speed limit of 40km/h for about a good 400-500m on a wide empty stretch of road with no schools or parks. Looks like it must have been changed fairly recently as my GPS still stated it was a 50km/h zone. Drove through at 60km/h and got caught by a patrol car presumably hiding in an intersection.

Police park on Gateview and catch drivers heading south down the hill.

Not sure if this is really a “speed trap” but for as long as I can remember there are one or two cars in the front parking lot at Christ the King. Always at the far end. If there is one car it will be facing the on-coming traffic. If a second car is there, it will be facing the opposite direction so they can roll down their windows and chat.

Crossing Dundurn on King heading into Westdale , you enter a 60 Km zone but everyone goes about 80 Km across the 4 lane bridge over the 403. Hiding in a parking lot of an apartment building on the south ( left) side there is often police with radar and a few police cars there. speed drops to 50 km right there . Watch Out!!

6 Hwy is 4 lane @ 80 kph reduces to 2 lane @ 60 kph & still open country
No need of reduced speed but Hamilton sets up 5 or 6 cruiser for radar
interception. Definitely a speed trap almost daily
