Sits approximately 200-300 yds. north of the bridge across Signal Mountain Blvd. on State Hwy. 27 where the concrete barrier, separating the north and southbound sides, ends. An officer positions his car on the northbound side of of 27, on the left shoulder, and immediatly adjacent to the end of the concrete barrier. The officer points his car against the flow of traffic and turns out all the lights. He cannot be seen in this position, especially at this location, because a car, even with high beams, is pointing its lights down hill as it tops the ridge before Signal Mountain Blvd.; while the cop is sitting slightly uphill from the bridge on the other side.
