Outer Drive Service drive towards Van bourne -towards Pelham

When driving down Outer drive before you hit the bridge for the free way you can turn right at that -giants- burger shop and go down an area that is 25 mph and it’s 25 mph for at LEAST 3 minutes before hitting 35 mph.. then 40 mph on Van bourne going towards Pelham.. As soon as you turn right the officer is shooting a constant K Band signal -Radar- before you hit the 35 mph sign.. so if you are doing 35 BEFORE you hit the speed limit sign he hides on a side street right before it and will nail you.. a good radar detector works great for officers that like using constant on radar gives plenty of warning in advance to slow down I was going 50 mph almost then it went off I slowed down to 25 then 2 minutes later seen him hiding around a corner shooting the K band.

This is defiantly a speed trap! Decided to take the service drive to avoid the congested/backed up expressway on Southfield/94 west. Big mistake, didn't see the 25 mile per hour sign, slowed down when I approached the 35 mile per hour sign, too late cop sitting there and decided to pull me over even though I slowed down before I seen him. He couldn't wait to issue that ticket and two points despite a good driving record with plates,insurance and registration all in tack. Went to the police station to see if I could have points removed. Points were removed and ticket was changed to a parking ticket if I paid an additional $40.00. Total cost of my "parking ticket" was $140.00! I'm glad I don't have the points but I am outraged about the money scheme. I respect police officers who are there to serve and protect, but traffic police at speed traps sickens me. As I sat in the over crowded courtroom listening to each case, including mine and found it to be quite bazaar. Because I had a good driving record the court lied and said I had a parking ticket, but it would cost me more? What message is that sending? Why not say you have a good driving record and we are willing to remove the points, without lying and additional monies. Next time I will shop in Ann Arbor instead of the hill in Allen Park to avoid the entrapment in Dearborn Hieghts!
