This is an almost oppressively long school zone. I have seen the same policeman parked there practically every other morning for years (and sometimes he brings a few friends along too). How he operates is that he hides just behind a large Baptist church building on the east side of James Ave. that looks as if it was built right up to the ‘build line’ on the property. Basically, if you are going north on James Ave. (and you’re not being overly observant) he will see you (and clock you) before you even know he’s there.
