The speed limit is actually 30 mph there, not 35. But there are stop lights and numerous intersections at that point in the road. It's the amount of traffic that demands four lanes and acceleration lanes. It would be helpful if there could be two different speed limits when school is in session and when it is not. I was tagged on a rainy morning during spring break when there was little or no traffic. I was doing 43 mph which is about what most people do on that stretch when traffic permits it.
