i was ticketed in appomattox where 460 slows down to 45 for about 400 yards for the stoplight by the plaza. The officer was sitting in the parking lot next to the speed limit sign. I accelerated through the sign and he told me i was clocked going 53 in a 45. I was told the law is only for after the sign (different where i am from), and I will say I have never spent a penny in appomatox after that and never will. I later found out that everyone from lynchburg to richmond knows the police there are petty and ridiculous and that is the city’s main source of income. be careful!
