Overland Road is less than a mile long but there are two schools, a pool facility used by many children as well as a soccer field that is home to many young soccer players. The middle school track team (that includes special needs children) runs near the road as part of their route. Many students walk to school and don't always use a crosswalk. This is also a residential area and residents often find it hard to pull out because there are so many drivers go 40+mph. And when leaving school after hours, I find it hard to make a left OR a right hand turn because there are many drivers who use this road as a cut through. My only wish is there was more of a police presence. In my three years of working at the middle, I have NEVER seen a cop patrolling. Please be considerate and watch your speed through this heavily populated area. It is 15mph for a reason. Thank you.
