Snagged in this trap yesterday, late Sunday afternoon/ evening around 8:00 p.m. I've read a few others commenting about being nailed right at the 70MPH sign heading West out of Franklin, TX. I was told, 71 in a 55. Whatever!! YES, this is a Speed Trap and NO, I don't appreciate it. This is just "chicken-____"...I can't imagine the likes of a Texas Ranger...a real Texas Law Man / Law Enforcement agency practicing this can't of horse-_h__! I've spent money on fuel, snacks and meals here when passing through but not anymore. The local Franklin business owners can thank the City for their irresponsible practice of "speed traps" for what I can only hope results in a decline in the business revenues in town. Maybe, those more affected by this nonsense, can make a difference and improve the image of what I'm sure was once, a friendly little town in Texas. Now, the only perception I have for them is "Bullies"....and I, for one, will never spend another dime in the town of Franklin, TX.
