Cross Roads TX is a little town of 1,578 people according to the 2010 census. They have recently partnered with another small town for a police force. They have a total of two police trucks – a white Ford Expedition and a black Ford Expedition. Highway 380 passes through this town – all of just under 3 miles in total length of the highway. However, the local newspaper police blotter reports that these two police vehicles are averaging 39 speeding tickets *per day*. Lord help the town of Cross Roads if anyone needs police for anything other than writing tickets.

The Northeast Police Department has 4 Black SUVs and 1 White SUV and has 7 officers, 1 sergeant and a police chief. They cover the areas of Cross Roads and Krugerville, Texas along Hwy 380 and Hwy 377. They are definitely a speed trap and their fines are outrageous.
