DC295 SW .2 miles south of exit 1 northbound
This is labeled as a 40MPH workzone but not until several miles after the work zone sign is there any evidence of construction. The camera is right before Exit 1 for DC Water and Blue Plains. This is a 3 lane highway labeled as a workzone with a 40MPH speed limit. It can catch you off guard.

I got a citation for $200 for going 54 MPH at shortly before 5 PM on 11/21/2019, apparently a double fine due to work zone. I don't recall seeing any signs indicating a 40 mph speed limit due to work zone or any other evidence of work. In the photo, there are no traffic cones or work vehicles, but there is a sign way up freeway that looks like it may be related to construction. I don't recall seeing a 50 mph sign either, though it is there on Google maps--it's tiny with an even tinier Photo Enforcement sign.
This feel like entrapment and extortion to me. Open freeway, no constructions crews, an arbitrarily low speed limit and double penalty. Really?
UPDATE: I posted this speed trap. Yesterday evening I drove past here and all the 40MPH, Work Zone Signs, and fines double signs that were before the camera are now gone and replaced with 50MPH. This was not like this the last time I drove on I-295 about a week ago. I just thought I would provide this information.
