Buffalo Road/Nagle Road Corridor
Pennsylvania State Police and Lawrence Park police are both known to sit and hide in various places along Buffalo and Nagle Roads in Harborcreek Township.
The LPPD sits on the Nagle Road bridge on the north side, in the cutoff that leads to the Iroquois ball fields. This primarily occurs at night. The cop sits blacked out with his lights off, where drivers can’t see him until they’re right on him. The bridge itself is technically within Lawrence Park Township, but the cop will follow drivers entering into Harborcreek on either Buffalo Road or eastbound on Iroquois Avenue to try to pull them over. SPEED LIMIT ON NAGLE IS 35.
Lawrence Park Police will also sit in the clearing between Applebee’s and the Fourmile Creek Bridge (in Harborcreek Township), and “pace” drivers. The speed limit drops sharply from 40 within Harborcreek Township to 25 as soon as you enter Wesleyville borough after crossing the bridge by the Dollar Tree. The Lawrence Park cop will follow drivers well into Wesleyville, sometimes all the way to Country Fair or even to the Erie city line, in an attempt to pull them over.
PSP will often hide in the parking lot at Eastway Lanes or in one of the shopping plazas nearby. The posted speed limit, as mentioned above, in that area is 40.
