Harpersville Alabama diffinately has a speed trap and they give tickets to non speeders also and they have a kangaroo court that it does no good to go to. I received a ticket even though I was going the speed limit and I saw and slowed down for each of their rapidly chaging speed limit signs. I was not speeding and was given a ticket saying I was going 84 miles an hour in a 65 mph speed zone. I never went over the speed limit but that made no difference. I went to court but the judge refused to hear my not guilty plea. I told him about ten times not guilty and as thought he never head me he continued to ask me over and over how do you plea until he finally said guilty. You would have to go there to see how they operate to know what I am talking about. The whole system is a kangaroo court with out a doubt. I have also talked to another person who had their cruise set at at 70 mph and received a ticket for 85 mph in a 65 mph speed zone which brings you up to the big money ticket for excessive speed above the posted speed limit. The place should be renamed kangaroo courtville.

Thank you Officer for posting "These guys do their job." But it certainly is a speed trap and their job is creating revenue for the City of Harpersville. It is always about one thing, money! They are no different. It is a way to TAX citizens other than their own residents. Nothing more, nothing less.
