I brought 800 people to a conference in the Hill Country for 6 days and brought hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue to the county. While taking a Saturday afternoon drive out to Greune we came back to the resort on Evans Rd. Once we passed Green Mountain Road the oncoming cars started flashing me like crazy and so I made absolutely sure that the speed control on my rental car was set to 40MPH on this desolate strip of road. Sure enough as a topped a good size hill and started to coast down (not noticing that I was picking up speed) I saw the black Charger on his little private parking pad but thought wow I’m glad I had the speed control on, but much to my dismay as soon as I passed him the lights came on and he through graver giving chase. I ask “why am I being stopped” and all he would say is license and registration. I thought to myself that he would check my license and see that I had a perfect driving record and simply give us a warning but much to my dismay he came back with a $190.00 citation for doing 53 in a 40. Oh by the way the speed limit went up to 45 just a few blocks away. Lessons learned, ride your breaks down hill and don’t come back to San Antonio. This was and expensive traffic ticket for Bexar County because I have moved next year’s conference to Tucson.
