Wallace is intensly patrolled and the officer can be on either Hwy 36 or FM 1093. The speed limit on FM1093 east of town is particularly well below safe speeds. It is here the traveler is most vulnerable. This area is not being partrolled for traffic safety. I saw a guy get stopped that could not have been going 5 mph over the posted limit a mile or so out of town. This is a “hot spot”” like the infamous Kendalton Texas: Why did it take 30 years to stop it?”
