As you enter the city of Punta Gorda coming from I-75, there is usually one and often two PGPD cruisers hiding in the funeral home parking lot on the left side of Marion Ave just before the Post Office. They are hidden by the funeral home, so speeders won’t see them until it is too late. Marion Ave is a three-lane street going one-way into Punta Gorda. The speed limit changes from 45 to 35 as you enter town. The police grab speeders there almost every morning during the morning commute.
