US Highway 19/41 near Walmart going south
While traveling south from the Walmart area on Hwy 19 /41 the two small 45 MPH speed limit signs (one on each side of the southbound lanes) is between the 2 traffic lights. If you come out of the Walmart parking at the traffic light, or farther south at Fire Mountain restaurant, you never see a speed limit sign. The Griffin police use radar slightly over 500 feet from the speed limit sign that is 55 MPH just before the Ellis Road overpass. Speed Trap law states they must be at least 500 ft from a change. My ticket is notated 516 Fort It is possible to turn right from Walmart and many restaurants and also left at the traffic light from the shopping center on the other side of the road from Walmart and never see a 45 MPH sign.
