An HCPD officer routinely sits in his subsidized vehicle in the parking lot of one of the businesses (commonly HPM or Carpet Isle)lining the Keaau bound lane monitoring Keaau bound traffic w/ his Laser. Although daytime sightings have been made, enforcement is most common after dark when the HCPD officer’s vehicle is least visible. He parks facing Keeau but positions his Laser on his Driver’s side window facing Bayfront. Speed limit is 35mph w/ average driver going 45 – 55.
