State Highway 10 near East Lawrence Industrial Park
They like to wait right where you enter town. The speed limit changes from 70 to 65 as you curve around, and they will wait behind the curve.

In stead of complaining about the police doing there job in this area. Maybe you should ask why they are there. Read the paper there is always an accident at the intersection, because people on K-10 don't slow down.
The first poster is correct. The traffic exiting the industrial area and the concrete plant have caused many accidents. 65 mph is not unreasonable and the change is well marked ahead of time on K-10 coming into Lawrence. The 65 mph goes down to 45 mph at the edge of the city and then to 35 mph. There really is no reason to rush on this artery coming into town. The light at Haskell is the great equalizer.
