Bishop Road near Sturdevant Road
Bishop is one of the widest, smoothest stretches of road in the county, with ample shoulders. It was traditionally a 50 mph road – lowered to 35mph several years ago by the few large landholders on the road. The local county deputies refer to it as their "gravy train". It is all about bringing in money. If safety was the real issue, nearby narrow, winding, no shoulder Logan Hill road would not be rated for 40 mph.
