Going eastbound on Herndon Parkway coming from RT. 606 / Old Ox Road towards Elden Street. Herndon Police tend to sit at the intersection of Springtide Place and Herndon Parkway under a large tree and catch people coming off of the bend at Summerfield Drive. It is most often motorcycle cops with handheld laser pointed at the exit of that bend.
This happens relatively frequently, probably averaging 2-3 times a month and often will run for multiple days in a row. They typically focus on morning rush hour, evening rush hour and lunch time but will sit there throughout the day. Speed limit is 35 mph and traffic typically moves at 45mph.
