I-95 northbound, milemarker 95

Ashland, VirginiaNov 23, 20080 Comments

Northbound I-95 mile marker 95 located 10 minutes north of Richmond. Keep eyes open, after passing Hanover Municipal airport. The I-95 appears to be cutting through countryside and woods, but the Ashland/Ashland Mill are nearby communities in Hanover county. Cop hiding in the median is almost impossible to spot, due to dense pinewood. During night time, the patrol car lights are completely turned off, to avoid giving any visible signature of any kind. The I-95 milemarker 94 is a slight downhill, a bend to the left, followed by a straightline. Note: the Commonwealth of Virginia has claimed the interstate corridor as a safety corridor, aggressively pursuing drivers that are on their way to Washington DC, and Maryland. If you are only driving through the state of Virginia — please, please be aware of the law 46.2-862 where 80mph speed is will be issued Summons to court for Reckless Driving – this is not posted on any traffic sign, but it is the law. For comparison: it would not be unusual to find 75mph posted on a similar stretch of interstate in Texas, Idaho or Arizona.
