As you exit 440 onto West End, heading towards St. Thomas hospital, police have been known to post up 3-4 cars at a time to catch speeders. The tricky thing is, when you exit the interstate and enter West End, the 35 mph speed limit isn’t posted, and the first posted speed limit is 40 mph. I’m a student at Aquinas College on West End and I go this route every day. One night, they were out and I saw them, and I felt immune due to my 42 mph speed; to my dismay, lights started flashing in my rearview and he pulled me over for going 42 in a 35 as I came off the on ramp onto West End.
