Approaching the Foy Avenue exit on Route 15 south into Williamsport, Old Lycoming police have been seen with an unmarked car at the top of the offramp. They have a long line of sight northwards from there, perfect for radar or laser as bend north of them is too far away for southbound traffic to spot them. Chase vehicles are typically situated at the bottom of the mating onramp.

On less frequent occasions, they’ll have a similar setup for Northbound traffic in the same area. Spotter will sit facing south on Foy Ave where it breaks off of Lycoming Creek Road, so that he can see the Memorial Ave bridge. Typically the spotter here is the chaser as he’ll take the 15 North onramp from Foy Ave. Several miles between Foy and the next exit for him to catch the offender.

Traffic is typically too light in either direction for you to blend in with others.
