When travelling south after passing the Lisburn Road exit, the speed limit is 55, but most drivers don’t go under 70 on this section of the highway. It is a brand new section of road completed only a few years ago (the old road couldn’t tolerate speeds nearly as high). After driving over a short bridge there is a slight right-hand curve where a police officer commonly waits on the other side (where you can’t see him until it’s too late). After this short section, the speed limit drops to 50 and you come upon a traffic light. Once the speed limit drops you are outside of the speed trap.
