I have personal knowledge of this particular Police force, and the locations, both Northbound (the 1st onramp after the Ronald Regan Cross County Hwy), and Southbound (Galbraith Rd. exit). By far the Northbound on ramp is used quite a lot more than the Southbound exit, but I know that $$$ is the ONLY motivating factor. The Village of Arlington Heights is now almost completly devoid of ALL industrial tax base income! The residency is now a majority of Section 8 and low income renters. The Village recently lost both its' Fire Dept. AND its Ambulance & Staff!!! All because of not enough income from what is left of the residents increasing tax burden! They (the Arlington Hgts. Police Dept.), are SO desperate to bring in income, that they are resorting to illegal methods of issuing tickets! Their cruisers "hide" behind huge cement pillars on Galbraith Rd. to ticket vehicles, also they "sit in the dark", whereas the ORC (Ohio Revised Code) clearly states that any Law Enforcement Vehicle in Ohio, sitting with the engine running, while monitoring traffic, must have their vehicles' headlights turned on! (NO sitting in the dark to "catch" you!)

Hmmmmm ....... 72 in a 55 zone ....... and a very heavy traffic area with both right and left lane exits .... and it has been 55 for at least the last 10 miles .... and 55 for another 2 miles .... who's the bad guy here??????

Actually, the village has a handful of businesses that contribute to its tax revenue. Sun Spot, Cindus, Meyer Dairy, all the businesses in the Galbraith Business Complex, the small shops on Carthage Av. Also, research would do you well. You'll find out that the same amount of money the village spent on their own fire department they now contract with Reading FD for....so not for a lack of funding. As for the police "hiding", well, the only law enforcement agency in Ohio that I know of that has a *policy* of not hiding is State Troopers.
