As you drive north up Westcliff from Buffalo (towards Durango) the wide, wide street is only 35 MPH, but could easily handle 45 mph traffic flow. But, there is residential along both sides of Westcliff, with side streets all along the short distance to Durango (where Westcliff ends at a parking lot). There is a 25 mph school zone further up by Durango.

Officers (usually motorcycle cops) sit on some of the side streets not that far up (3 or 4 blocks) from Buffalo and nail anybody going over the posted limit.

Las Vegas Metro PD is notorious for ticketing people with just a few miles over the limit (say, 38 in a 35!)… and they’re even worse when near a school zone (15 or 25 mph – enforced all day during school – children present or not!)….
