Cleburne County, Alabama Speed Traps

3 different cars pulled over in 20 minutes. Signs are there but obscure and unexpected to be so close together. Speed limit in GA is 70 on I-20 cross over to AL to 65 and less than a 100 yds to 55. This is a real revenue maker. 55 through a construction zone.

Construction Zone (Speeding Fines Doubled) Beware in this area , the State Troopers are not playing fair in this area, they are hiding inside the medians with the workers and you wont see them until they pull out of hiding and come after you with their blue lights flashing . The Speed Limit Signs are spread far and wide so it will be easy to miss them . The Speed limit in this area is 55 but again there aren’t many signs. If you have a radar detector especially one with a jammer , use it in this area. Ticket in this area will cost you $260.00 + $10.00 Convenience Fee ( if u pay over the phone or online). I had to learn this the hard way and had to bite the bullet ( now i’m probably going to have high insurance rates for the next 3 years or so) If u have to pass through this area BEWARE and BE AWARE!!
