Daphne, Alabama Speed Traps

The speed trap is on Rigsby Road, which is used by many as a shortcut between Highways 181 and 64. It bypasses the stop light at the intersection of highways 181 and 64. The speed trap is found on the north/south portion of the road. It is normally intermittent; you never know when it may be present.

There is normally a trap located in the median on Ridgewood Dr. inside the west entrance of the subdivision. The trap is usally active in the mornings and afternoons.

This whole area at Highway 13 and Pleasant Road (which turns into Whispering Pines Road) is patrolled heavily. Speed limit is switches from 35 to 25 with little to no warning. No posted speed limit if coming from Hwy 181 but it is 25 mph. Mostly early morning then late afternoon through evening.

Police regularly hide in median early am to late pm.

Issue tickets that require court appearance.. Ticket fine may be only around $20.00… Court costs over $100.00.

Police hide in median, in turn lanes, and on service roads shooting radar, both north and south bound.
