Hueytown, Alabama Speed Traps
Hueytown City is a Speed Trap
I know an officer who works for hueytown police .He personally told me that hueytowns police chief orders them to have at least 40 actions per month. Including tickets and arrests!! That 24 hours resturant is a DUI trap on weekends. They know people stop to get something to eat coming home from a club friday saturday nights. Be very carful driving in Hueytown! Use alternate routes when possible !!
On East Crest Road near the Nursing Home
You must come to a complete stop at all (7) stop signs or "got ya" on this stretch of road.
Entering Hueytown on Allison Bonnet from Fairfield
Parks on right after H&H portable building location just before the first gas station at night.
Forest Road at Pleasant Grove city limit
At night, the police sit at the MLK parking lot and run radar at cars coming from Pleasant Grove. The speed limit drops from 45 down to 35 in a short period of time and drivers often don’t have enough time to slow down when going around the curve until it’s too late. They also run DL checks here too…
The Whole City
They profile you in Hueytown. If they ever find something to stop you for they will stop you if you sneeze while driving. Ever since they have the new police chief from Mountain Brook he has tried to triple the revenue for the city and I am sure he has. One of these days he will get an harrasement suit against him and the city. So be careful to avoid Hueytown and don’t buy anything in the city to help their revenue.
