Lincoln, Alabama Speed Traps
Hwy 78 between Hwy 77 & Honda Drive
The section of Highway 78 between the Hwy 77 interchange and Honda Drive is heavily patrolled. This is only a few miles long section of road but there is almost always at least on officer running radar. The speed limit on this four lane section of highway is 45 mph.
Intersection Hwy 78 & Hwy 77 to I20
Speed limit is 45 on a huge 5 lane highway. This is in front of Honda Mfg. Police park often and wait.
New school bus camera trap BEWARE!!!!!
Lincoln has added cameras to school buss stop signs. They are putting out sign as you go by even before the bus has stopped. I and about 30-40 others have been ticketed via the mail and our stories are the same. I have never failed to stop for a bus and was shocked when I received my ticket in the mail. Seems they are trying to build a court house in Lincoln. To argue is useless, ticket fine 300.00 + 165.00 court cost, and that’s if you don’t fight it. We all tried to but saw it was a no win situation. It’s just your word against the bus camera. Avoid Lincoln Alabama and keep your money in your pocket, unfortunately I work up there. Next time I see a bus I will pull detour around it.
Interstate 20 Eastbound and Westbound between Riverside and
One trooper sets on an overpass above the interstate in an UNMARKED PICKUP TRUCK clocking everyone. Just over the next rise there are at least 6 trooper cars lined up waiting for him to radio who is just barely speeding. The speed limit between Pell CIty and the Georgia state line goes from 55 to 70 and doesn’t the same for more than ten miles. I’m ashamed that the state I live in can be so crooked!
Hwy 207 south from I 20 to Baptist church
speed limit is 40 mph. They live here 24/7/365 and you better be under 50.
