Rockford, Alabama Speed Traps

Patrolman on hill out of sight overlooking the only stop (4 way stop signs) in Rockford. If you do not come to a complete, dead stop of more than a second you will get a ticket for “running” the stop sign. Forget rolling stop. This is one of the poorest counties in one of the poorest states of the nation. Beware.

Rockford has only a four-way stop (no red light in town). If you do not come to a complete, dead stop for a moment, you will get a ticket for “running a stop sign” even if you are moving only I mile per hour and there is no other moving vehicle in sight.
