Steele, Alabama Speed Traps

The exchange at the corner where Hwy 11 and Steele Station road come together. There is always a Steele City police car at the service station or backed up behind the Methodist church. The speed limit goes dramatically down from 55 mph to a slow 40 mph. He will not give you any mercy, 40 is 40, nothing else will do. Small town cops in a easy to overlook speedtrap. Also hang out at the truckstop 1/4 mile east on Steele Station Road. Speed limit is 30 MPH there. It is eay to go faster there so look out.
