Sumiton, Alabama Speed Traps

just to add to whoever sent in the sumiton speed trap, the speed limit now has changed to 45mph and those guys are heavily patroling and radaring the roads and sitting in the median across from the golf course. this is a real red-neck town,these so called police officers are real power hungry.

Speed limit on Hwy 78 drops from 65 to a low 50 in Sumiton, which is too low for the area. Some people tend to keep the normal speed of 65, but they will nail you to the wall quicker than you can slow down. Just be aware. And keep those radar detectors on!
