U.S. 231
The Vincent Police Department obviously exists for the purpose of generating revenue through writing speeding tickets. The main drag through town is U.S. 231 and you especially need to watch them once you enter the 35 MPH zone which extends most of the way through town. They don’t care who they write up either so don’t expect a break. Revenue, Revenue, Revenue.
Kelley Creek Rd (Shelby County Hwy. 60)
This road is used by many people traveling to Logan Martin Lake. The 40 MPH extends to far out from their city proper. It is completely wooded and is beyond any houses adjacent to the road. The police have recently been using a private vehicle with no markings, only a portable blue light on the dash, no radar, no following to clock you. They write your speed up using only their estimate which is usually high. They have also stopped lone females in this wooded area using this unmarked vehicle.
