Calgary’s finest will hide off road and tag you as you approach. This is S of the school zone and not an area where +10 klm would present any hazard to anything but your pocketbook.

Glenmore drops from 80 to an unrealistic 60 as it goes under MacLeod Trial. A dark minivan parks on the exit ramp facing west (like it is broken down) and there is a camera on the dashboard. My wife was done here, I have also seen the minivan, it is a classic revenue-making scheme.

Can’t remember the exact location but I was caught city-bound where the LRT runs down the middle of Crowchild. An unmarked white pickup truck was parked as if broken down, I was pulled in and ticketed. It is 80 km/h at that point.

Laser is usually set up just after you exit from Deerfoot Trail SB onto Andserson Road WB. Speed goes from 100k to 80k as you round the large open radius exit ramp. Speed trap not easily seen until you are most of the way onto Anderson Road. Room for Officers to pull over multiple vehicles as they issue tickets. Most motorists who speed thru this zone drive well above 100k.

The speed limit on this stretch of road is 50 kph, which seems unduly slow for such a commonly used road. They hide in the various parking lots along the road where they practice professional license plate photography.
