Brinkley, Arkansas Speed Traps

Brinkley is located about halfway between Little Rock and Memphis. A lot of drivers heading for the casinos take the Brinkley exit off Interstate 40 and take Hwy 49 south enroute to Tunica, Miss. State trooper activity is heavy on the stretch of highway from Brinkley to the Hwy 79 intersection, about 20 miles. I live 10 miles south of Brinkley, and if I don’t see blue lights while driving to and from work in town, its only because the troopers were called to an accident somewhere in another vicinity.
