Concord, Arkansas Speed Traps

Driving west after a 45mph turn into Concord, the speed limit drops to 35mph in about 200 yards. The New Chief of Police sits back in the cemetery drive about 100 feet before intersection/turn. There are plenty of trees to obscure his vision but he is not hesitant to inflate your speed. The fine was $215 with a 6 month probation option to keep points off your dmv record for additional $40. Law enforcement up to the same tricks despite being indicted in a federal civil lawsuit.

This little town just got declared a speed trap for the marshall abusing his power

Local police sit off highway across from the School and North of the school by church. He will get you if you are even in the 5 mile over range. No mercy.

On weekend afternoons and evenings speed enforcement seems to increase to take advantage of the tourist traffic heading to a nearby lake. I was stopped for going 4 miles an hour over the speed limit.
