City PD usually waits in church parking lot (or other) for unsuspecting travelers as they motor through a highly residential area. If you are speeding, and they are running radar, you will be pulled over — even if just a couple of miles over the speed limit. VERY LOW TOLERANCE IF AT ALL . . .
S. Waldron Rd around 1200 block
PD parks in business parking lot to run radar. If you are heading north and are coming from the Central Mall area you go up & over a hill that keeps the police car from view. Heading south from Grand Ave, Kinkead & Park view of the trap is blocked by another hill at about Free Ferry Rd. Speed limit 35

between zero street and phoenix avenue is posted at 40 mph, cop car sits beside what looks like a pump house along side of the road.
Interstate 540 near Exit Number 13
Entering Fort Smith from Oklahoma beginning at Exit 13 all the way to the Rogers Exit. State Police patrol the area daily. There are many curves along the route and the patrols are posted up and down the route.
State Route AR 253 near Exit Number Exit 14
South of the interstate bridge at I-540 Exit 14 on AR 253 south that changes to AR 45 as you go south. If you are heading north to enter the interstate at Exit 14, you come down a hill where your speed will accelerate unless you brake. They will catch you just after you enter the Interstate. They also stake out this area because there is a road going to the west (just south of the bridge on AR 253) where people turn to go over to the Indian Casino in Pocola.
