Monterey, Arkansas Speed Traps

Motorcycle policemen often sit on these streets (main thoroughfare is Franklin Street), sometimes behind a vehicle, on a corner, waiting with their radars. They will stop you even if you are going 5-8 miles over the speed limit of 25 MPH. Their reason? Safety. However, there have been 20 new police officers hired since the increase of personnel and staff at the Presidio of Monterey. This may not be the sole reason in hiring the officers, but now they have many officers often giving traffic tickets for speeding.
