Russellville, Arkansas Speed Traps
Russell Rd. near MiChild
Police Enforcer will be just past MiChild, set off the road. To the east is a hill that crests and levels off, and he will shoot and try to get people heading WEST. OR The officer will enforce a 20mph speed limit that goes the length of the road until you are well past apartment complex on right. This speed limit is ridiculous due to the fact that MiChild NEVER lets out the "special" children, and the fact it is a 24×7 speed limit.
Parkway and Knoxville Rd
Parkway ranks number three of the town of Russellville’s most traveled streets, but makes up most of speeding tickets issued because of a low speed zone between knoxville and Frankfurt Avenue. The 25 mile an hour zone (When Children Are Present) was issued for the little league baseball games in the evening. At this point the 25 mile an hour speed is regulated on a commercial street at all times of the year and day despite ther being no Little League games and little commercial development in the area. According to the Courier Democrat, (a local paper) this is by request of the Mayor and the city counsel who asked the Chief to beef up issuing tickets to aid in the cities revenue shortfall problems.
