Tontitown, Arkansas Speed Traps

North of 412 in the tiny area of N Barrington in Tontitown city limits. 35 mph in rural area with no traffic unlike 412. Obviously in connection with Elm Springs department as Elm Springs officers show up quickly as back up.

For about a week now, every day, there are more police cars in the small town of Tontitown, stopping enormous amounts of people. The city limits begin at Springdale to the east, and extend to just beyond where the highway divides to the west. They are patrolling it vigorously, tailgating drivers, stopping every car that is even slightly above the speed limit. They are using marked and unmarked vehicles. Tontitown has a new police department, and a new chief, obviously trying to make a name for himself. This should be reported to the local media.

Tontitown now has police, the Washington County Sheriffs Office now post three of them in Tontitown full time. (Tontitown pays the salary) Five lanes and slow speed especially on the west side of town. Let there be no doubt Tontitown stinks and these guys will write some tickets. Watch out for them. They seem to have there sights set on being the worst speed trap in northwest arkansas.
