Langley, British Columbia Speed Traps
25390 – 88th Avenue (River Road)
Parked in the entrance to the green recycling centre, just east of West Creek Farms and across the street from the Government dock.
Construction Zones (For seat belts & cellphones)
They plant an extra flag person when you come into the construction zone and he radios ahead if he sees an infraction.
The police officer is usually clean and cleancut looking one.
Sneaky hey???
232 St and 64th Ave
They setup behind a cluster of trees on 64th and normally point the radar gun North bound catching people coming from the freeway. Conveniently there’s an area where they can line up busted cars… the speed limit is 60 kms/hr but there are no private driveways for a long stretch so most people with think it’s 70 or 80. They always catch TONs of people when they’re setup in this location. I’ve seen this speed trap setup there at least 4 times in the past year and I rarely go this route.
88th ave, and 190.
Right by the Port Kells community center, a cop will set up in that parking lot with a handheld radar gun. He usually will stand at the four way stop, this way he can radar traffic from every direction. They usually nail you east bound on 88th as you go past the elementry school. West bound on 88th as well, they will nail you cause it goes from a 60 to a 50km zone
zero ave
unmarked police cruisers: seen both a grey and a black newer model chevy tahoe travelling up and down zero quite a bit lately pulling people over. also, have noticed that the rcmp like to set up speed traps around 240th and zero.
