Langley, British Columbia Speed Traps
208 Street near 44 Avenue
This trap is on the right hand side just over the crest of the hill when heading South on 208th street. They sit just before 44th ave where the right lane ends and turns into a turning lane only. (before the cemetary). The speed limit along there is only 50kms so go slow cause once you’ve spotted them it’s too late.
208 St. overpass Bypass near Logan Avenue
On both sides of the new Langley overpass on 208. They sit in the ICBC lot at the bottom of the hill and catch you from the top. I’ve seen them on both sides….weasels!
South 200th Street near 44th Avenue
They park their cars in the church parking lot and they hide in the trees so that as you are coming over the hill headed south they get your speed and pull you into the church parking lot.
88th Avenue near 206th Street
Police officer stands on the median in the middle of the road and jumps out in front of traffic to stop you. They can get cars going east and west bound on 88th ave. Hard to see the trap because the road goes into a little valley and thats were you’ll get nailed.
200th Street near Crosswalk at base of hill
There are usually two officers at the base of the hill in between the north and south bound lanes. The cars are undetectable from the top of the hill because of two trees planted in the median. The officer will pull you into the divide between the north and south bound lanes, which is in my mind is unsafe for both the officers and yourself.
