Concord, California Speed Traps
concord blvd
between ayers rd and baily rd motercycle police hide in a couple of places on the right if you are coming from ygnacio vally blvd
on Market Street between Monument Blvd. & Clayton Rd.
A merciless motorcycle cop with a laser gun lies in wait on a side street, out of sight, north of the elementary school (Meadow View, I think) and before reaching Clayton.
Market Street is 25 mph the whole length between Monument & Clayton. MMC tagged me at 40 mph–ticket cost, $350 plus traffic school. Bummer!!
Bailey Road Southbound @ RR Tracks close to Concord Blvd.
Concord PD sits at the railroad tracks on the side road where there’s a small parking lot and gate. They sit at the bottom of the hill with a radar gun for traffic driving southbound into Concord. I’ve seen up to 4 cops sitting together at a time, (even motorcycle cops), with more than one motorist pulled over at a time.
Cowell Road between Treat blvd & Ygnacio
Coming down Cowell Road from Ygnacio toward treat blvd. After you pass the turtle creek subdivision, just when the treat blvd intersection comes into view the motorcycle cop sits on the right hand side of the street-again in the shade- on the last 2 streets before treat. He gets everybody.
Ygnacio valley road 2 traps
As a resident off ygnacio valley road there are a couple traps to know about. Sometimes at night they actually park in the gravel drainage ditch to hide. Another motorcycle sits under a tree at the entrance to the Crystal Ranch subdivision. The other one sits at the bottom of Ygnacio heading towards pittsburg right before Aberta and the "Circle K" gas station. He always sits under the tree in the shade. If he ever writes me a ticket, Mark my words you will notice that both of those trees will be cut down and left in the street. Too hot in motorcycle gear if theres no shade-hehehe
