Downey, California Speed Traps

As you travel Westbound on Imperial Highway from Paramount Blvd towards Old River School Road there is a motorcycle officer waiting to your right with a radar as you go down and up the over pass. Slow down because he is not visible from Rives Ave. until you go up and by then it’s too late. This area is near Rancho Los Amigos.

As you exit the 605 on Firestone, approaching Woodruff, there are officers with radar guns in the strip mall to the right.

Motorcycle cop w/ laser sits in parking lot to auto dealership/auto body repair on north side of street- right after teh Golf ‘n Stuff.

Westbound on Imperial, before Rieves, Motorcycle Officer sits with Radargun somewhat hidden by the Bushes, when you come up from the Underpass on right Side

Heading West on Imperial Hwy right afer the 605 Fwy, there is a hill. Signs are posted at 40 Miles but are placed where they are not readily visible, i.e., right after getting off the 605 (going South and turning right), and a little after the top of the hill. Once heading down one can see police in motorcycles (1 and/or 2) right under a signs that reads: "Watch your speed, we do" which is barely readable and too late to slow down. Schools are on both sides but there are no school signs. I fought my ticket and was dismissed.
