Los Angeles, California Speed Traps
S Vermont Ave & W 80th St
LAPD motorcycle officers using laser will hide amongst the parked cars on the west side of Vermont between 79th through 83rd streets watching for speeding vehicles going southbound. Posted speed limit is 35mph.
Commerce Way & S Eastern Ave
Motorcycle cop with speed gun targeting motorists heading north on Eastern Ave towards Washington Blv. The speed limit is 35 MPH as it dips under the railroad tracks, with the downhill slope causing in increase in speed as you head north on Eastern or turning round the curve to your right on Commerce Way.
Slauson Avenue
Be very careful along this stretch of road; there is a hill which increases your speed as you descend, and this area is also heavily patrolled.
S La Cienega Blvd & W Imperial Hwy
Cars heading Southbound might speed because of the long distance between stop-lights on La Cienega just before reaching Imperial Hwy. On the North-West corner of Imperial Hwy & La Cienega Bl., a police car hides behind the white iron fence waiting to catch speeders.
W Olympic Blvd between Century Park East & Beverly Glen
Traveling west on Olympic between Century Park East and Beverly Glen is downhill, and three lanes. During times of low traffic, you actually need to apply your brakes to stay within the speed limit. Motorcycle cops hide themselves to trap you speeding. I usually see them there in the early morning hours, before rush hour.
