Los Angeles, California Speed Traps
Grand blvd. South of 7th st.
I was making a left turn from grand into a parking lot. Grand is a one way street. I made my turn from the #2 lane and the cop gave me a ticket for making my turn from that lane instead of the farthest left lane.
Shortly thereafter, I saw somebody else getting a ticket in the exact same place.
Intersection of Hauser Blvd and Apple St
Rolling stop trap, consisting of at least two motorcycle officers positioned out of sight on either side of Apple St. Officers will inflate rate of speed on ticket (e.g., 5mph violation becomes 15mph violation, etc).
Make sure you come to a complete stop, folks. Zone limit is also 25mph.
Division and Cypress Ave
Motorcyle cop hides behind 1/4 past division up making a left. Most people are driving from the hillside so its real easy to go 40 MPH in 30 MPH area. I have received two citations within two months with the same cop.
On Adams Blvd between Figueroa St and Grand Ave
People coming off the 110 North turning right on Adams going toward Grand. There is a no turn on Red which a lot of people ignores and every first few days of the month there are cops there almost every day hiding under the parking structure on Adams and sometimes on the freeway to the right where this is a small pavement near the fence. Also they are there at the end of the month.
on West Blvd between Slauson and Florence
Motorcycle cops parked on both sides of West Blvd. They are parked in between cars, driveways of buildings and side streets. They come from anywhere. Sometimes they are in pairs. Don’t even think about stopping in the red for a second, I saw them pull up on someone just that fast. Don’t speed on this street. Usually there aound the am hours. Beware!!
