Los Angeles, California Speed Traps
W. Olympic Blvd. from Century Park E. West to Westwood Blvd.
W. Olympic Blvd. westbound, almost on a daily basis, hiding under the shade of tree right after Century Park East’s light, to Westwood Blvd. (Also on the eastbound)
Ventura Blvd. between Shoup Ave. and Woodlake Ave.
LAPD with and without radar. That stretch of Ventura gets people going east (to 101 north) and west (to 101south) Speed limit is 35mph. I got ticketed for 42mph. Watch out, it’s an easy street to get going too fast.
Sawtelle Blvd. at the Interstate 10 Underpass
Going south on Sawtelle through the underpass of the I-10, a police motorcycle sits off to the left just at the corner of Webster Middle School…Be Careful! The posted speed is 35mph, going 50mph feels slow!
S. San Vicente Blvd. East of W. Olympic Blvd & S. Fairfax Ave. Interchange
Multiple motorcycle officers wait for the eastbound morning rush traffic. San Vicente crosses the streets at an angle so the cops are not visible until you have passed them. Speed Limit is 35 MPH, most of the cars travel at 50.
Sunset Blvd & Napoli Dr
Between Capri and Minorca on Sunset. Long straight line. Easy to pass 35 mph… Motorcycle Cop waits for you on week-end.
